on tuesday, i went to the met with a publisher for a work lunch. the met is a popular spot for razorfishies to dine at because it is right across the street from work. uber convenient! since it was a tuesday, i was able to order the tomato bisque which is absolutely amazing!! they probably put tons of cream in the soup but it is thick and so flavorful that it doesn't even matter. the basil was a nice touch but kind of got awkward to eat cause it was stringy.
for an entree i ordered the almond crusted scallops (an appetizer) with a side of mashed potatoes. the scallops were not quite as delicious as i had hoped they would be. there wasn't too much flavor to them, and i just felt so heavy eating them. i'm still glad i ordered it because everytime i go to the met, i'm tempted. not the most successful trip i've had there, but the tomato bisque made up for it!
