built burger

last week, a built burger opened up by my office so we headed there for lunch on friday. what makes built burger special (aside from using legit beef) is that they 'build' the ingredients into the patties. for example i ordered the pinnacle bacon bleu burger and the patty incorporated chopped up pieces of bacon and blue cheese along with the beef. it is cheating just a little if you think about it because they use less meat that way...but i digress.

there was quite the line since there was just one register and it's new but it was worth the wait! the burger was fantastic. the bun was organic and lighter than your typical red robin bun, the patty was good but a tad salty but combined with the built sauce they gave me (you get to choose one per order), it worked very well! i got the sweet chili aioli and spread some on my patty.

they have a lot of sides that you can order as well which include potato beignets! they were sprinkled with salt and they were SO GOOD! you have to have it hot though or else the potato part will start to stiffin up.

i will definitely be back again because there are other kinds of built burgers i want to try like a chorizo one with lime slaw, but i think i'll have to wait until the initial rush dies down!
