garlic soy sauce noodles

i LOVE noodles. like i prefer noodles over rice any day. i always love eating those incredibly salty yakisoba type noodles you can get at any fair/festival so i decided it was time to learn. i found this recipe online (from another person's blog!) and then kind of went on my own little tangent with it. i must say, it turned out incredibly well and not too salty.

the gist of it is that you add some butter to a wok and then throw in a LOT of garlic and green onion, let that cook up for a get and get yummy smelling and then add in some tablespoons of soy sauce (i rock the kikkoman low sodium), a few tablespoons of oyster sauce, and then some brown sugar. let that concoction boil for a while and then toss in your egg noodles.

i didn't have egg noodles but had these shrimp paste noodles (not as gross as they sound!) to use up so i used those instead. then i obviously needed to *attempt* to balance out the meal so i threw in some fresh shrimp i got from the store and then flaked up a mahi filet for my protein, threw in bean sprouts and then shredding in some carrot.

next time i do it, i will definitely use egg noodles and then probably throw in some broccoli too. next time might also come sooner than later!
